Energy Conservation - MOPAC provides both insulation services and energy surveys to its customers. The energy survey is designed to evaluate a customer's annual energy loss and convert the loss of Btus into a loss of dollars. By equating loss of energy into loss of capital, a customer can truly recognize a cost-saving opportunity. During the survey, MOPAC develops a report that not only shows the cost of lost energy, but an insulation specification that will reduce the energy loss, and the approximate return-on-investment to implement the specification. MOPAC has developed this unique niche in the insulation industry that it is just now beginning to expand.
Innovative Insulation Technology - Sprayable, Insulating Coating
Equipment, tanks, pipes, etc... can be insulated with a sprayable insulating coating. The coating replaces traditional insulation and metal jacketing at a fraction of the cost. The coating can be applied while the equipment is in production and has an upper limit of 450 degrees F. The heat from the process actually cures the coating. Corrosion Under Insulation (C.U.I.) can not occur because the coating is adhered to the substrate.
The sprayable insulting coating provides safety for personnel, energy and cost-savings for the owner, as well as, assisting with Risk Management by decreasing the risk of burns. The insulative coating works not only to reduce temperatures but also provides energy savings and personnel protection per O.S.H.A. regulations. Another benefit of the insulative coating is that it solves the problem of C.U.I. (corrosion under insulation). Since the products are applied in 20 mil (0.50 mm) thickness, they provide excellent corrosion protection.
There are consultants who will calculate energy loss/cost. There are manufacturers who will develop specifications. There are contractors who will install insulation. Other than MOPAC, there are few if any insulation contractors performing all of these world-class engineered services.
